Allergies and Your Home Heating System - Radiant heating systems, such as the STEP Warmfloor® radiant heat system, efficiently and silently heats with
no blowers stirring the air. An electric radiant heating system also reduces damp areas prone to growing mold and fungi, which are among the top contributors of discomfort for allergy sufferers.

DC White Paper - STEP Warmfloor’s radiant heating systems are DC powered, providing energy-efficient, safe comfort for homes and businesses.

How Heating a Home Affects Your Health -  Scientific studies have shown that many Americans spend ninety percent of their time indoors. Considering sleep time, eating and leisure time at home plus a full-time office environment for work it easily adds up.

Prevent Ice Dams White Paper - STEP® Roof Deicing is a heating solution to prevent snow buildup and ice damming on roofs, valleys,
eaves, and gutters. It comes in 9” or 12” wide flat mats designed to be installed between all types of roofing material - from shingles to metal – and any waterproofing underlayment.

Range of Efficiencies - With the options of radiant heating systems on the market it is important to know their differences in heating comfort and energy efficiency. Homeowners often think “radiant heat is radiant heat” whether it is hot water tubing, heating cables or a mat.  But there are considerable differences in the manner each heat a home.

Solar Electric Radiant Heat - Calculations were conducted for comparison in this all-electric project.  Estimates of using electric baseboards were 74,277 KWH at an estimated cost of $9,879 per season.  STEP Warmfloor came in at 21,393 KWH with an estimated cost of $2,845 per season.  The substantially reduced need for electricity to operate the STEP Warmfloor radiant heating results in fewer solar panels required to do the job.

Understanding Home Energy Ratings - Introduced in 2006, the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index became the industry standard by which a
home's energy efficiency is measured. It was developed by the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET).  Government agencies including the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognize the HERS Index as an official verification of energy performance.

What is Radiant Heat - Most of us have lived with forced air heating systems. These systems, utilizing natural gas, propane or fuel oil, heat air within the furnace as its blower forces the heated air throughout the house via ducts. Radiant heat, however, is a completely different, more efficient, method of heating a home.
